I realize I am totally late with this whole valentine themed post, but, really, is there any day that heart-shaped chocolates aren’t a good thing?? That’s what I thought. You may have guessed this about me, but just for the record, I follow many, many food blogs. Really far too many but I can’t help it. I’m obsessed. And it truly is a rabbit hole for me. I start reading, one leads to another, and all of a sudden two hours have passed. Truly. It’s my internet crack.
See, I just lost track of my post because I started thinking about food blogs.
So one of my very favorite blogs is called MyNewRoots.org. I love, love, love this site and have made several of her recipes. I highly recommend it to all of you. And the amazing chocolates that I made come from her site. I’ve never made chocolate before, first of all, and have certainly never made RAW chocolate. But I decided to give it a go since the recipe seemed pretty easy. I even requisitioned my son for his assistance. Which, when I explained we were going to be making chocolate & caramel, he was actually ready and willing and even snapped some pics for me while we were doing it. Ah, the power of chocolate.
Needless to say, while they didn’t look as beautiful as they do here, I was quite pleased with the result. And they were yummy! And relatively guilt-free.
Please enjoy. Everyone needs a little love in their day. Especially when it is chocolate.
